Trip Photos Recap

2 weeks ago from today we returned from the trip of a lifetime.  It was a good time and coming home was bittersweet.  I love Vermont for sure but it was difficult to say goodbye to one of the best winters that Jackson Hole has seen in 50 years.  We shot over 200GB of footage along the way along with a slew of photos as well.  Here are some of our favorite stills from the ride.  Thanks for checkin us out! John Shute Slaying Killington Parks

Last week we got back from our trip and immediately decided to head down to Killy to take advantage of the good weather for filming in the parks.  This here is a little edit of our man John Shute slaying laps in the Dream Maker and Burton Stash Parks at Killington Resort.  As per usual, the parks were fresh and the vibes were good for getting some shots.  CHECK IT!  Oh, and stay tuned for the other edit featuring the whole crew later this week!  Thanks for staying stoked!  And if you dig us, please give us a share and let your buddies know,  all the support we can get is huge for little guys like us!

Sunny Days In Utah

image.jpg

We arrived in Utah on Saturday to shred Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude resorts.  With the weather sunny and warm it's been super nice to ride mellower stuff and cut down on the layers.  Here are a couple shots from Snowbird on Sunday.  Hopefully we'll get some pow turns tomorrow with this potential storm system coming in too!

Cheers, Adam and Andy

To Utah

image.jpg

We left Jackson Hole on Friday evening to head down to Powder Mountain in Utah.  Leaving Jackson, it was hard to say goodbye to the snow, but we were still stoked to shred the famous Utah pow.  When we left Vermont the truck was pretty organized and packed up for travel but after the second morning scramble to catch the first tram at Jackson, most of the remaining organization was gonzo beans and the truck was a wreck.  Before leaving, we had heard that Idaho's fuzz liked to jump the gun and search cars during casual pullovers if they had a suspicion about anything.  Having a giant eye on the back and a field of mushrooms on the side of your truck cap would probably somehow constitute a search, so having our gear so unorganized was definitely sketchy driving down from the mountains into potato land.  If we got pulled over, all of our gear would  probably end up skewed all over the side of the road getting dumped on.  When we reached Montpelier, ID we were greeted by temps in the thirties and a nice dry parking lot to basically empty the truck and repack everything in.  After about an hour of hanging clothes on doors, scattering bags on the ground, avoiding eye contact with gas station employees on smoke breaks, and trying not to draw the attention of scary dudes leaving the bar across the street, we were packed up better than before.  After living out of the truck for more than a week we knew what needed to be ontop and what could be packed away deeper in the pile.

We finally rolled into Powder Mountain's parking lot around 1:30 am to find a beautiful night with the stars out and the temps not to cold.  As we crawled into the cap, a passing snowcat stopped momentarily to shine his spotlight on us.  Luckily he seemed to give us his approval and he went back to his work without doing anything.  We awoke the next morning to the classic noise of crunching ice as cars rolled  into the parking lot.  After some investigation it turned out that we couldn't afford to ski and ride at Pow Mow so we peaced out and drove down to Snowbird instead to check the scene and chill out for a needed rest day.  Snowbird was sick to drive up to out of flatland SLC and into little cottonwood canyon's sick rock and jagged mountains.  Anyways!  Here are a couple photos and screenies from the journey... Enjoy!

Legs Three and Four

Whoa.  Our last two legs were crazy from flat Nebraska to arriving at Jackson Hole Mountain resort.  Originally our goal was to leave Omaha and head to Rock Springs, WY to prep ourselves for a short drive to Jackson the next day.  Unfortunately we were shut down by HAMMERING wind coming directly from the west so we only made it to Laramie on Friday night where we scored some breakfast Saturday and rigged up the cap to bump tunes while we waited until noon before the wind calmed enough to press on to Jackson.  Finally, Saturday night we rolled into Jackson and found tons of snow, and a front row parking spot 200ft from the tram station.  Here are a couple photos from the road!  Enjoy!  And definitely stay tuned for more photos from shredding!

Leg Two 800 Miles

Yesterday we embarked on the second leg of our journey from the Cleveland area to Des Moines, IA.  The change of scene was crazy as the drive went by.  Leaving the city area of Cleveland behind and heading out into the country was pretty boring as the road seems to go on forever in a straight line with no elevation change whatsoever.

After the Ohio and Indiana flats we had to skirt by Chicago where we were greeted with plenty of very generous drivers... Finding ourselves surrounded with Tractor trailers in all lanes around us was super sketch and it definitely made us miss the flat lands' ease of driving.

Finally after a seemingly endless nightmare navigating 94, 294, and trying to cling onto 80 we managed to escape back into the endless fields, the land of solidarity and 70mph speed limits.  We fueled up and I took a turn behind the wheel to power to Des Moines for the night.  Without the city traffic and far less angry drivers my shift was a 1000X more chill and apon our arrival in Des Moines around 6PM we decided to ditch the plan and power through to Omaha Nebraska.

Upon our arrival we managed to find a nice hotel to sit in hut tub and chill out for a bit before cooking some grub and passing out.  With the temps much higher than our previous night in Cleveland we were able to fall asleep until morning actually much after we initally wanted to wake up.  But oh well, we made it farther and it all works out to put us in Cheyenne Wyoming right when we wanted to be there later today.  Anyways, here are a couple photos and screenies from along the way!  I hope you enjoy!

cheers, adam

Leg One

We finally began our journey.  We left yesterday at around 11 o'clock from school in Montpelier , VT.  First we made our way down to Albany area to visit family of Andy's.  The first few hours crawled by and it didn't sink in at all what we were actually doing.  It felt like we were just driving somewhere in Vermont to go snowboarding but it was taking forever.  It finally sunk in when we had reached the western half of NY when things became flat and the billboards for adult stores began popping up like mud trucks in Vermont that we realized we were heading west.  The next 7 hours and 500ish miles from Albany to the Cleveland area flew by as it kept getting flatter and flatter.  We came up on Cleveland around 10:30 and were greeted by signs flashing air quality warnings, sketchy drug dealer cars, and people walking on the highway with their heads down.  After warming up some delicious Two Guys of Vermont Soup we hunkered down for the night in the cap at a Best Western.  Now, after some continental breakfast we're back on the road and off to our next destination, Des Moines, Iowa. Heading West! The Trailer

In just about a month Andy and myself (Adam) will be heading west in search for powder and adventure.  In an effort to get out out and film more and work less, we are asking for donations towards our trip fund.  Please check out this trailer and spread the word about what we're doing.  If you know someone who might be stoked to help send it along!  THANKS, and think snow!

Hard and Hungry 2013

So last year we had this idea... Let's make a web series about earning our turns...  Unfortunately, the first episode was never actually made.  This year, with this trip out west planned and lots of time to get on the hill and film, this web series will not only be possible but help hugely in preparing ourselves for the trip.  Hiking often and filming ourselves is going to be key to get in shape for shredding deep western snow days on end and documenting it properly.  Anyway, with November 12th's pow day under our belts and the stoke of the season on the mind, we decided to bring this idea back and make a little GoPro teaser of the first pow day of the season to kick things off.  Enjoy the teaser and get stoked for the series!

November 13... Powder Day.

Yesterday we headed up to Mansfield with the hopes of finding a couple inches of fresh up there.  We were pleasantly suprised with the amount of snow we found up top.  It was totally like a mid-winter powder day only with Nose Dive closed!  Here are a couple screenies and a mini edit to getcha stoked!  Thanks Zach Landis and Jesse Huffman for coming out to partake in the shred!  Stoked to get back with you guys!  Enjoy!
PS... Edit is on the bottom!

Summer Edit 13'

This summer was insane... Honestly, not much filming actually went down but the days we got in were a blast. Get stoked for winter... We've got big plans. Thanks for watching and if ya dig it, share it up!

A few days back we got to get out and get some at Stowe Mountain.  We arrived with the intention to hike the gondola area but made the decision to hike nosedive instead due to a better north facing aspect and less snow loss by sun in the past couple days.  Here are a couple shots and screeners from the day... Enjoy!

Slopestyle Rail Jam 4

Good weather, good vibes, good music. Slopestyle ski and ride out of Montpelier teams up yet again with Sugarbush Parks and FACE to put on the sickest preseason rail jam in VT. Be sure to stop by Slopestyle for your winter needs and get stoked for the season.

Fall.

Living in Vermont is sick.  Despite the lack of early snow, the giant mountains, and the cali lifestyle, Vermont will always be home.  Last night's sunset was insane. Thanks for being beautiful VT!  Enjoy!!
Cheers, Adam and NEF

West to East, East to West.

Above are some pretty killer conditions for the east.  Andy and I headed to the beach to meet up with Alex, Marie, Jon, and Dbines to grab some surfing and skating shots.  Super chill day of surfing, shooting and calzone eating.  Here are a couple shots from the road. Looking forward to getting back to the coast ASAP!
cheers, adam, andy and the crew

Journey to Highland Bike Park

Highland Bike Park is killer.  Thursday we met up with Alex and buddy David from cali so we could grab some shots of the two ripping some downhill.  After shredding, we decided to head up to the whites to camp/ shoot some more.  Below are a couple shots from the road.
Cheers,
adam and the crew

Alex n Alex Shred Session at Highland Bike Park

Last weekend, Andy and I drove down to Tilton to hit up Highland Bike Park with Alex Dos and his buddy Alex Fletcher who goes to school near Highland.  We only shot for a couple hours but got some sick shots of those guys ripping some downhill as well as some shots of fletcher in the nasty dirt jumper park.  Here's a little tease from the day Andy put together.  Hope ya like it!  Look forward to more fall downhill action ASAP!
cheers,
adam, andy and NEF
